Review Zebra Mildliners

Hey Everyone

ever since I’ve started my Bullet Journal I got sucked into all the stuff the bujo-community hypes about. I could make a post out of stuff I bought because of that.

Wait… That’s a good idea! But not for today.

Today is all about one of many hyped things. The Zebra Mildliners!

As always I tested them in my Leuchttrum 1917 in A4 size and they do not bleed through but they do ghost a little. I have the most common colors that means 15 pens in total. Honestly I only bought them because there where a discount on them. After using them I noticed that I prefer pastel colors in my bujo when I highlight and such. There are 4 pastel like colors, 3 colors like normal highlight and the rest is pretty strong in terms of color vibrancy.

They are dual ended and you get a thick side and a thinner side. It’s easy to highlight with the thicker side cause it’s already shaped like a highlighter. With the thinner side you can easily write but also do more prize highlighting.

I like them but I think I would be fine without them too. If you are someone who is just starting out then you don’t really need them. They aren’t cheap and depending on where you live shipping will take quiet some time.

If you want highlighters try the Frixion pastel Highlighters.

Do you have the Zebra Mildliners? What do you think about them? Let me know in the comments.

Review Pilot Juice Gel-pens 0.5

Hey Everyone

for a while now I’ve been using the pilot juice pens and they are my go-to pen when I’m writing with something other than a fountain pen.

They don’t skip while writing. They come in different colors. They have a clip on top so you can clip them onto your papers. I have the 12 pen pack in 0.5 and I use them in my Bullet Journal which is a Leuchtturm 1917 in A5 size and there’s only a tiny ghosting barely visible. The silicone grip makes it really comfortable to write with and you have a secure hold of them.

I don’t regret one cent I spent on them.

Even thou I only have the 12 color set there are more on the market and I’m sure one will suit your taste. And you’re gonna LOVE that PEN!

Did you try out these amazing pens? Do you like them as much as I do? Let me know in the comments down below.

Love you

Colour Freedom by Knight & Wilson

Hey Everyone

Yesterday I changed my hair color but mostly because I really wanted to test out the semi-permanent hair dye by Knight & Wilson.

First I’ll show what my hair looked like before. WaterMark_2017-07-02-21-00-17
As you can see I had really pink hair and also my roots were showing quite a bit. At the ends where I had some leftovers from my last bleach the color had washed out a lot.

In the middle part of my hair there was still a lot of pink and as a vibrant color too.

So I needed a base where I could start…
The first thing I did was bleach my hair. Honestly I didn’t wanted to bleach my hair again after the last time which was somewhat over a year ago. I used the same bleach again, blond extreme bleach L1++ which can bleach up to 9 nuances by Schwarzkopf. After putting on 2 packages of it on my hair I covered it all in aluminum foil and on top some cling film to ensure the heat. Bleach develops better with heat and it was really hot where I had placed the bun. I was really afraid my hair will be burned but all went well. WaterMark_2017-07-02-21-01-25

I was left with really bright roots, a vibrant shiny peach color for my middle part and the already bleached ends were a mix of yellow and a bit of orange. Well I thought the pink would lift more but I didn’t expected it to be blond.

The next step was to dye my roots so when they grow out it wouldn’t be noticeable. For that I choose to use a gray color because my natural hair looks grayish while growing out.

For the roots I choose Colour Freedom Metallic Glory in Silver Blond this is a permanent hair dye by Knight & Wilson. I applied it on my roots and some highlights throughout my hair. After waiting 30 minutes I washed it all out.

It was lighter and brighter as I thought it would be. But it is a beautiful color and it would look amazing when done all over my hair but seeing with what I started out with that’s not possible. So if anyone wants to have white grayish hair this is your color to go. It really has a silver shimmer and looks amazing on my roots. In Germany you can get these colors in Rossmann for 8.95 €. There are other colors you can choose from too, from light to dark.

The last color I wanted to try from Colour Freedom was this white Blond also by Knight & Wilson which is only 7.95 €. I didn’t use a brush to put it on my hair like with the other two colors. The consistency of the color is like conditioner and was really easy to apply. Don’t mistake the color because it comes out violet-blue so it can balance out all the yellow and orange in your hair and leaves you with white blond color.

If I had normal bleached hair without the pink it would have worked perfectly! I’m impressed how my hair turned out after using it. WaterMark_2017-07-02-21-02-17

After leaving it on for a little over an hour it toned down the brightness and left me with a nice rose color as an leftover from my pink and my pre- bleached ends well they have a blueish color now because I left it on longer as in the description descried.

While I had it on my head my hair looked like unicorn hair. I really loved how it looked.

WaterMark_2017-07-03-13-23-03Here a picture what my hair looks like in the sun. I also have to admit this is the lightest color I had in years.

I’m in the middle of finding a new job so this is probably not the best time to try out new colors but…

My hair needs a lot of oil now because of the bleaching.
Whatever. ∗˚(* ˃̤൬˂̤ *)˚∗

See you soon

Frixion Pastel Highlighters

Hey everyone

today I wanted to talk about the Frixion Pastel Highlighters. First… I LOVE THEM!
I started Bullet Journaling in March and I got sucked in badly. Within the community there are a view products that basically everyone has like Tombow dual brush pens, Zebra Mildliners, Leuchtturm 1917 notebook and so on…

Even thou Tombow as well as Zebra Mildliners have Pastel colors I find that the best Pastel colors are the Frixion Pastel Highlighters. I don’t have a Tombow dual brush pen to really compare it to but I do have all Zebra Mildliners. There are some in it that are more on the soft colored side but not as soft as the Frixion Highlighters.

My problem with the Tombow is that when I see a set that I like then I only want one or two colors from it and buying them separately makes them even more expensive. I don’t say that the Zebra Mildliners are cheap because they are probably not. Anyway compared to these two brands these Frixion Highlighters are cheap and really cool. Best of all you can erase them if you made a mistake  .

As I mentioned before I use them in my bullet Journal for highlighting because they aren’t too aggressive or overpowering in the page compared to the writing as you can see in the picture. There is also no bleed through and barely any ghosting going on  and I tried them out in my Leuchttrum 1917 in A5 size which has thinner paper than the A4 size where I also tested them.

I got mine on Etsy by Colorsplashsupplies I hope they’ll restock it again.

See you soon Rin✒
